Type Locality and Naming

Lithology and Thickness

Shallow-marine marl. In the type section, the lithology comprises of grey to dark grey calcareous shale.

Lower contact

Fossils

Foraminifera recorded are dominated by larger foraminifera N. fabianii and Pellatispira sp. assemblage.


Age 

A Late Eocene age is suggested based on above assemblage. It is equivalent to the Kopili Fm of Northeastern Himalaya.
